I know you might want to argue this, but a recent survey has found that BETWEEN THE SHEETS, women are dirtier than men in bed.
When we refer to the word “dirty”, we mean in it in the realest sense.
Before now, it was often assumed that men are actually dirtier between the sheets than women, when it comes to matters of the BEDROOM. But a recent study has debunked this assertion and found the opposite to be true.
The word ” dirty” being referenced here refers to “unhygienic” in the literal sense.
A New research was carried out to ascertain how often men and women respectively clean their sheets. The findings lay bare what some may term as ‘too shocking to be true’. It was found that contrary to popular notions, ladies are lagging far behind in this area of hygiene.
Out of the 2,000 people ErgoFlex surveyed, researchers discovered that millennial men are religiously washing their bed sheets every two weeks.
Meanwhile, ladies were found to only be bothered to change the beddings once every other month. Which is kind of gross when you think about it.
In an hygienic world, it is expected that you should be changing your bedding at least once every two weeks.
Again, 61 per cent of women also said they prefer sleeping without a stitch on, compared to just 39 per cent of male participants.
As for those sleeping with their stitches, men also stormed ahead in how often they were washing their sleepwear.
While pajama-wearing women said they put theirs through a wash once every five wears, men performed a little better opting for every three! But seriously, who would have thought it to be true.
Researchers found it rather surprising that more women than men preferred to sleep in the buff, and those who didn’t still don’t wash their pajamas often enough.
“We found it interesting that men seem to be far more hygienic when it comes to their bed than females do, especially when compared to old data.” Says a spokesperson for ErgoFlex.
While being conscious of the fact that changing your bed sheets every now and then can be a total drag, the experts at ErgoFlex recommend swapping your bedding at least once every two weeks, especially if it’s hot, but once a week is preferable.
